Tucked away in the heart of Devon Valley, just a short drive from Stellenbosch, lies a hidden gem that completely stole our hearts — Brenaissance Wine & Stud Estate. It’s the kind of place that immediately makes you feel relaxed, with mountain views, rolling vineyards, and that crisp Stellenbosch air. Honestly, this place is such a dreamy escape, especially in autumn and winter when the trees turn golden and the fireplace calls your name.
Their self-catering accommodation options are seriously gorgeous. Think clean, modern design with big windows, cozy textures, and all the comforts of home — and then some. Our space had a full kitchen decked out with Smeg appliances (yes please!), a fireplace for chilly nights, a walk-in shower, and our own private braai area with mountain views. There's something really special about waking up to that fresh valley air, enjoying a slow morning coffee on the patio, and then making a lazy breakfast with the birds chirping in the background.
But if you don’t feel like cooking in the morning, guests also get a complimentary daily breakfast at the on-site restaurant — and it’s such a wholesome way to start the day. Think fresh farm-to-table vibes, seasonal ingredients, and the kind of peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to linger over that second cup of coffee.
For chill days, there’s a pool and gorgeous walking trails all around the estate. We loved strolling through the orchards and taking in those vineyard views. It’s honestly such a peaceful space — perfect for recharging or sneaking in some romantic time away. And because you’re just a short drive from Stellies town, it’s super easy to head in for wine tastings, cute cafés, or even a lazy lunch somewhere fabulous.
We visited during the cooler months, and I can’t recommend it enough — the combo of autumn colours, crisp air, and a crackling fire just hits different. That said, it would be just as magical in summer, lounging by the pool with a chilled glass of wine.
One more little tip: they’re currently running a special on their website (hello discount!), and they also offer family-friendly rooms — so whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, or with the crew, they’ve got something to suit your vibe.
Trust me, this is the kind of place you’ll want to bookmark for your next getaway. Head over to brenaissance.co.za to check availability, book your stay, and start dreaming of vineyard views and cozy nights by the fire 🤍🍂🍷
